The Rotaro shear bolt clutch is the simplest and safest torque limiter for protecting cardan shafts and agricultural machinery from catastrophic damage. This device uses a calibrated bolt as a safety element: when the transmitted load exceeds the maximum permitted limit, the bolt shears instantly. This completely disconnects the transmission, protecting the tractor and implement from mechanical failure. It is the ideal solution for equipment that must not suffer any slippage, such as certain types of ploughs or seed drills, and requires absolute protection. Although it requires bolt replacement after activation, the cost of the replacement part is minimal compared to the damage it prevents.
