Pawl Limiter

The Rotaro pawl limiter (or pawl clutch) is a high-precision mechanical safety device, essential for protecting cardan shafts and implements subject to extreme and sudden torque spikes. Unlike disc clutches, this limiter ensures a total and immediate disengagement of the transmission when the preset load is exceeded, by disengaging the pawls (balls or rollers) from their seat. It is the ideal system for machines that work intermittently or with heavy impacts, such as heavy rotary tillers and seed drills. The Rotaro pawl limiter automatically re-engages once the overload has ceased and the implement slows down, ensuring the machine can immediately resume work.
