The GRANIT Wile 253 dish / plate probe is the ideal professional attachment for determining the moisture content of loose hay or silage before baling (for instance, directly from windrows in the field). Featuring a length of 240 mm and a 160 mm diameter measuring dish, it allows accurate sampling by pressing the material inside a clean plastic bucket. This probe is fully compatible with digital moisture meters Wile 25 (Code 525525569) and Wile 26 (Code 525525572).

PLEASE NOTE: This probe is an attachment only and strictly requires a compatible Wile moisture meter to function; it cannot perform measurements on its own.

Note: This probe requires a compatible Wile/GRANIT moisture meter to perform measurements.
Product Description
The Wile 253 dish/plate probe is engineered for optimal field moisture testing of loose hay before harvesting or baling. The optimal testing method involves gathering a representative hay sample from the windrow into a clean plastic bucket and compressing it with the probe plate to take the reading. It is fully compatible with Wile 25 (item code 525525569) and Wile 26 (item code 525525572) moisture testers. Please note that the probe cannot measure moisture independently; it must always be connected to the host digital meter unit. For pre-baled compressed forage, the Wile 251 lance probe is recommended.
